Standard inch tape measures have a blade that is numbered at each inch increment and marked with plain lines for graduations in between to measure in feet, inches, and fractions of an inch.
Features
  • Inch scale (also known as imperial or English) measures in feet, inches, and fractions of an inch. This is the most common standard of measurement in the USA.
  • Steel blade is wear-resistant for heavy-duty use in dry environments. It won't stretch like fiberglass but it will retain heat and expand in high-temperature conditions.
  • Nonmagnetic single-hook tip is light, flexible, nonconductive, and resistant to tearing, moisture, and chemicals. It won't absorb heat and expand like steel but it may stretch if pulled too tightly.
  • Chromed plastic case gives the appearance of metal without the extra weight to take measurements in light-duty applications.
  • Manual lock requires sliding or pressing the thumb lock to fasten the blade in place at the desired length.
